Registration Information for Rising Freshmen

Registration Information for Rising Freshmen
Hello future freshmen families!

Despite all the recent challenges, we are very excited about welcoming your student to Cascade High School in the fall. By now, we usually would have invited you to a Freshman Parent Orientation Night and shared a ton of information with you.

Obviously that will need a wait a bit, but we still wanted to make sure you have some important information that you need right now. The most pressing issue is making sure your students choose their elective classes for the fall.

First, I have attached a link to our course catalog which gives a brief summary of each of the courses we offer. Many are available to freshmen, and I encourage you to look through the course offerings with them.

Secondly, the counseling office will send out a Google Form to your student’s school email shortly. Families need to review this form, choose some electives classes, and click “Submit” at the bottom of the form.

Right now, we only need students to choose electives. For required courses such as math, science, and English, we will make placements based on teacher recommendations and prior coursework.

Later in August, students will come into the high school for registration (just like in junior high) and get a copy of their schedule, get a locker, take an ID picture and pay any fees. Additional information about this date will be sent out as we get closer.

Please have your student choose their elective classes and submit the Google Form no later than next Tuesday, May 19.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of our counselors in the counseling office.

We look forward to meeting with you in person soon!
