ABSENT? GOING TO BE ABSENT?

Just a reminder that if your child is absent or is going to be absent (family trip, hunting, etc.), there are a variety of ways to let us know.

You can CALL us at 503-749-8030 then option 4. This will connect you with the Attendance Office. You can call 24/7. Make sure you are leaving it on Mrs. Nixon’s voicemail.

You can EMAIL us. This will connect with the staff who are responsible for attendance. Again, you can email us 24/7.

You can WRITE A NOTE. Your child will need to bring the note to the basket in the Attendance Office. Just remember, sometimes kids forget and find the notes much later at the bottom of their backpacks.

All contacts must:

  1.  Be within two school days of the absence to be excused
  2.  Provide student’s name (first and last is helpful)
  3.  Provide reason for the absence (state requirement)

Please note that if you are going on a hunting trip, family vacation, or other pre-arranged absence (except for doctor appointments), they must be pre-arranged. Using one of the above methods will suffice as long as it is done before the absence

Thank you for helping us keep our attendance records accurate!
